Turkish Language Requirement
International candidates applying for the Turkish-medium undergraduate and graduate programs offered by Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) are required to submit a document certifying their Turkish level in an internationally recognized exam, which is also recognised by Eastern Mediterranean University. The Turkish proficiency level of applicants failing to present a valid document is determined by the results of the Turkish Language Test administered by EMU Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School (FLEPS).
The table below illustrates Turkish Language Exams either administered by EMU Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School (FLEPS) or recognised by EMU, and base scores required for exemptions from Turkish Language Courses.

Applicants failing to provide a Turkish language exam document take the Turkish Language Exam administered by the Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School. Those who have managed to obtain the minimum score determined by the University are found adequate to start their studies in undergraduate and graduate programs. Those who are not successful in the exam study in the Turkish preparatory school.
