ELT Department receives the Public Affairs Officer Ingrid D. Larson from the Embassy of the United States of America

English Language Teaching Department received the Public Affairs Officer, Ingrid D. Larson, from the USA Embassy on the 17th of November, 2015 to give a talk to ELTE 301 (Teaching English to Young Learners) students about Thanksgiving Day and its history within the framework language and culture. The course is taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Naciye Kunt. 

The officer had an introductory speech in which she shed light on American culture and traditions of ‘thanksgiving day’.
The students seized the chance to know more about the American culture and to share their ‘international’ cultures with the representative of the American Embassy in a very friendly atmosphere.
